Ah, it’s Monday

What are you going to create for yourself this week? I love new journals, the beginning of a new year or the first day of a new week. I see them as an opportunity for me to set my intent clearly and create what I want consciously. Of course, I can do that at any time, but beginnings are a good reminder or invitation if you will.

Intent is such a powerful force in our lives and we can use it consciously or allow our filter system to run amuck. We are always creating our reality. The question is whether we choose to do it consciously or unconsciously.

So, my question to you is what are you going to create for yourself right now? in this moment, what are you going to choose to focus your attention on? What thoughts will you feed and which thoughts will you allow to whither and die?

Changing life, harnessing your intent to create what you consciously want is really simply a matter of retraining your mind. I have been training puppies for the past year and it is all about focus and repetition. I love Caesar Milan and the idea of being a pack leader. Be a pack leader for your mind and watch what happens to your life!

Anything is possible

Aloha everyone,

One of my students sent me this video. It is pretty amazing what a person can do with intent!

Fearless Friday

Aloha everyone,

Last week I promised you a powerful way to deal with fear. When I first tried this technique I had a great deal of resistance but believe me it works! Making choices based on fear often create undesirable results in life. I used to try to ignore my fear and focus on positive thoughts instead. Not very effective in the long run.

Okay, so instead when you have a fear about something here’s what you do. Say you are worried about money. You find yourself worried about paying the bills, instead of simply affirming abundance do the following exercise.

Imagine the worse possible scenario. You have lost everything, you are homeless, you are living in the street, you smell bad and are totally miserable. Then ask yourself if that is what you want to create. Chances are the answer is no. So feel that, really feel that no and then ask yourself what you would like to create. Imagine yourself having lots of money, clearly picture it. Then ask yourself if that is what you would like to have and feel the yes, really feel it.

Whenever the fear comes up repeat the exercise. Fear is most damaging when left to smolder in our subconscious. In the light of day it fades and losses all its power.

Fearless Friday

Aloha everyone,

For so many people one of their greatest fear is death. I remember as a little girl my grandmother made me kiss my grandfather good bye. He was cold and clammy and there was obviously no life in his body. I had nightmares for years. Sitting by my dad this week was a very different story. I was no longer afraid of death, my story had changed.

What are you afraid of? What story do you tell yourself that creates the fear? Are you willing to change your story yet? Perhaps ask yourself how you can see the situation through the eyes of love instead and see what happens.

Next week I will talk about my favorite and most powerful way to deal with fear. See you then!

With love and aloha,
Susan
