The Divine Inner Child

Aloha everyone,

When I first moved to Hawaii I held classes on healing the inner child. Interestingly enough 20 years later I was asked to speak at a The Center for Spiritual Living in Waikoloa on the month that the theme is the divine child. So I decided to speak about the divine inner child. Funny how things come full circle.

Whenever I am asked to speak I begin to meditate on the topic and I am often pleasantly surprised by what comes up. I may try to record the talk and post an MP3 on my web site.

I know most of my readers live all over the world, but for you lucky few that do live in Hawaii I invite you to join me on December 6th, at 9:30 AM. The service begins with a meditation. The Center for Spiritual Living meets at the Waikoloa Elementary School Library (at the end of Paniolo Avenue in Waikoloa Village). Meditation begins at 9:30 a.m. Regular services begin at 10:00 a.m.

I am off to Lithuania and Latvia!

Aloha,

For the past five years I have gone to Lithuania in September to teach workshops for a month. This year I am going earlier because Latvia has asked me to come. When they asked me to come the first time I had no idea where Lithuania was or anything about the people or the country. I just knew they were literally half way around the world from me. I absolutely love going there and have fallen in love with the country and the people.

It takes me a long time to get there. I will leave tonight and won’t get there until Thursday. I learned the hard way to stop half way there and rest. Lithuania was the first country to break away from the Soviet Union. Latvia and Lithuania are the only two Baltic countries that still have their original languages.

The first time I went to Lithuania I was deeply moved by people’s openness and desire to connect with their spirit. There was one woman who carried a photo of an angel that helped her survive WWII. Over the years I have brought home many angels that were lovingly given to me, long before I wrote my book on angels.

They are amazing people. When they became independent their economy was in ruins and they had to reinvent themselves and their country. I have learned so much from watching them change and grow and look forward to sharing some of that love and wisdom with you in the coming weeks.

Susan

Fearless Friday

Aloha everyone,

How much does fear affect your life? How often do you make your decisions based on fear? How aware are you of your fears?

The three masteries of the Toltec tradition are awareness, transformation and intent. Changing your point of creation from your mind to your spirit requires mastering all three. Being aware of your fear, embracing it without judgment and knowing how to transform it into love will totally change your life.

Hear are few ways to work with your fear:

  • Observe it and remind yourself what it is you’d like to create
  • Consciously create fear when you are feeling safe and then let it go
  • Avoid feeding your fear by reacting to it with more fear
  • Laugh at your fear, turn it into a cartoon version of life
  • Connect with your spirit and choose how to act
  • Practice acting rather than reacting

Have fun working with your fear and if you have any tips you’d like to share feel free to post them in the comments section.

With love and fear, practicing choosing love,
Susan
