Fearless Fridays

Aloha everyone,

In the Toltec tradition fear is considered one of the obstacles to achieving personal freedom. The main objective of the tradition is to change your point of creation from your mind to your spirit. When you are aligned with your spirit you are fearless. When you are immersed in your filter system fear is everywhere.

One of the ways to use fear is as a guidepost helping you realize where you are in the continuum between your connection to your filter system or your spirit.  So you can use fear as an exercise to expand your awareness.

When you notice fear spend a few minutes and track your thoughts. Notice what you were thinking and how you disconnected from your spirit. By doing that you will diffuse the fear and unravel another piece of your filter system. You will be one step closer to achieving personal freedom.

Fearless Friday

Aloha everyone,

Last week I promised you a powerful way to deal with fear. When I first tried this technique I had a great deal of resistance but believe me it works! Making choices based on fear often create undesirable results in life. I used to try to ignore my fear and focus on positive thoughts instead. Not very effective in the long run.

Okay, so instead when you have a fear about something here’s what you do. Say you are worried about money. You find yourself worried about paying the bills, instead of simply affirming abundance do the following exercise.

Imagine the worse possible scenario. You have lost everything, you are homeless, you are living in the street, you smell bad and are totally miserable. Then ask yourself if that is what you want to create. Chances are the answer is no. So feel that, really feel that no and then ask yourself what you would like to create. Imagine yourself having lots of money, clearly picture it. Then ask yourself if that is what you would like to have and feel the yes, really feel it.

Whenever the fear comes up repeat the exercise. Fear is most damaging when left to smolder in our subconscious. In the light of day it fades and losses all its power.

Fearless Friday

Aloha from Page Springs, AZ,

I am getting ready to conjure up a magical experience for a bunch of people in the form of a week long retreat. We are going to spend time in a a canyon, hike around the Sedona area, meditate, eat great food and shift energetically. I have set aside a week and traveled a long way with the intent of creating a shift in consciousness.

So, what does that have to do with you? How can that improve the quality of your life? You could set aside a bit of time to do the same thing for yourself. Take a retreat day or at least part of a day or even better set aside a whole weekend just for you. How much time to you actually spend on focusing on what you do want to create in your life?

Do you wait until life catches your attention before you spend time retraining your thinking or do you have a regular routine that works for you? are you willing to take some time this weekend and tune in to the awesome adventure called limitless living?

As a species we seem so resistant to step out of the box created by our filter system. Give yourself that gift. Sunday I will be doing lots of wonderful energy work with the group. Go out and look up at the moon and allow yourself to tune in, allow all your fears to be washed away and allow love to take its place.

I just love serendipity. To me it is an indication that I am in the flow. As I was writing this post my editor for my angel blog on Beliefnet Sherry sent me a URL where you can make these word clouds. I played around a bit and I love it. Here is a word cloud for you about fearless, limitless living. Definitely post it material!

Wordle: having fun

With a great deal of love, gratitude and aloha,

Fearless Friday

Aloha everyone,

iStock_000005490020XSmall As you probably already know I am taking care of my dad. He has Alzheimer’s and thinks he is 91. My partner’s mom just died last week. The other morning when I was meditating I got the message, “There really is nothing to fear, you already know the ending.”

When I heard that all I could do was laugh. It is true, no matter how much money we have or don’t have, no matter how many friends, no matter what kind of life we have it always ends with death. So then the question becomes, “How do I want to feel right now?” All of our emotions are generated, not by the events in our life, but by the internal dialog about the events.

So, all I have to do is change the story to one that will generate how I want to feel. Once we change our alignment from our mind to our spirit life certainly becomes much easier.

Fear certainly is an option but not a requirement! A friend of mine reads the end of a book first so she can relax and enjoy the story. So you already know the end of the story, are you willing to relax and enjoy the journey?

Susan

Fearless Friday

When fear is the basis of our choices the quality of our life is vastly diminished so I have decided to dedicate Fridays to fearless living. If you have questions or a story to share please let me know by emailing me or leaving a comment in the comment box below.

We all deal with fear in many ways. At one end of the spectrum we realize that fear is nothing more than:

F alse
E vidence
A ppearing
R eal

At the other end of the continuum fear causes us to:

F orget
E verything
A nd
R un

What is your habitual way of dealing with fear?

So welcome to Fearless Fridays.

With love and aloha,
Susan
